Available for free, the OgStar Reading® Explore app offers parents and teachers an opportunity to delve into how our applications effectively instill reading, writing, and spelling skills in children through a multisensory approach. Users can sample the initial four lessons in the OgStar sequence before considering purchasing the appropriate OgStar app for their child on the App Store to further enhance literacy development. The efficacy of Structured Literacy is underscored throughout the educational process.
OgStar Reading® Explore serves as a gateway for preschool and elementary students into our other literacy games within the OgStar Reading series, all rooted in the esteemed Orton-Gillingham methodology. Through this app, students engage in activities that aim to bolster:
- Phonological awareness
- Systematic/synthetic phonics
- Multisensory sound-symbol associations
- Oral reading of phonetically-controlled words
- Finger tracing and writing of pseudo-words and real words in isolation
With captivating reading experiences, OgStar Reading® Explore incorporates mini-games and rewards to sustain student motivation and engagement.
